Nyungwe Forest National Park is a spectacular and ecologically rich rainforest located in southwestern Rwanda, near the border with Burundi and Lake Kivu. Covering over 1,000 square kilometers, it is one of the oldest and most well-preserved montane rainforests in Africa.

4. Conservation and Significance Nyungwe plays a crucial role in water catchment, feeding the Congo and Nile River basins.
