Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi and Drive to Mount Kenya National Park
On your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will meet the Umoja Africa Journeys driver/guide who will brief you about the safari, then drive you to Mount Kenya National Park.
Along the way, you shall have panoramic views of coffee farms and tea farms before arriving at the lodge around mid-day and in time for lunch. Enjoy afternoon and evening watching wildlife from the hotel terrace as they come to drink water at the waterhole.
Dinner and overnight at Serena Mountain Lodge in Mount Kenya
This award winning estate of luxury sits at 2,134 metres above sea level, in the forest zone of Africa's second highest Mountain, Mountain Kenya. It offers endearing panoramic views of the flora and fauna that can't imagine staying any where else apart from this snow caped sanctuary. These include forest elephants and buffalos that come to it to quench their thirst. Day 2: Mount Kenya to Samburu Game Reserve
Early morning breakfast, then drive to Samburu Game Reserve arriving for lunch. Afternoon game drives in Samburu Game Reserve. Samburu National Reserve was one of the two areas in which conservationists George and Joy Adamson raised Elsa the Lioness. Their story was made famous by the bestselling book and award-winning movie "Born Free". Samburu National Reserve is situated on the banks of the Ewaso Ngiro River in the dry northern Kenya and neighbors the homes of the Samburu tribe of Kenya, a tribe known for their remote culture, pastoral and nomadic way of life. Day 3: Full Day in Samburu Game Reserve

Day 4: Samburu to Aberdares National Park
Early morning breakfast, after you drive to Aberdares national Park arriving for lunch. Well known to the world as the home of succession where in came a princess and out went the Queen of England while at Treetops lodge, Aberdares is a land of fortune and diversity. The Park got its name from Lord Aberdares, one of the founder members of the Royal Geographical Society. Lunch at the hotel and enjoy your afternoon and evening watching wildlife from the hotel terrace as they come to drink water at the waterhole.
Dinner and overnight at The Ark Lodge. One of the most exhilarating features of this colonial styled hotel is the sweeping view of the waterhole from the large balcony on each of its three floors. The view of wildlife from here is up front and personal, with sightings impressive sightings of buffaloes, warthogs, waterbucks and hyenas. You will face over 20 elephants literally under your nose. You won't have any interruptions as you watch them drink, eat, play, snuggle and bathe in a natural comfortable environment.

Day 5: Aberdares National Park to Nakuru National Park
Breakfast in the hotel and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park heading straight for a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. The park is home to largest Rhino population, Lion Hills, Makalia waterfalls, unique vegetation, Picturesque landscape, yellow acacia woodlands and a wide range of birds the most famous being Flamingos and Pelicans. The National Park was formed to protect, its stunning flocks of lesser flamingo which literally turn its shores pink. These millions of flamingos seek their food in the salty deep-green waters of Lake Nakuru. The park is indeed a birds’ paradise hosting over 500 species.

This elegant lodge is cleverly laid out along the Lion Hill, a natural treasure with panoramic views of the beautiful flamingos of Lake Nakuru. It is a bit more rustic than others in its surrounding. Day 6: Game drive in Masai Mara Reserve
After breakfast drive to Masai Mara Game Reserve, Lunch at your hotel and enjoy afternoon game drive in the Game Reserve. Masai Mara is famously known for the Wildebeest migration which takes place annually and is one of the World’s natural wonders. The reserve is also known for having a diversity of different animal species like the big five (Elephants, Lions, Leopards, Rhinos, Buffalos), cheetahs, hyenas, Topis, warthogs etc. Mara is full of surprises, as while on the game drives chances are you may land on the big cats feeding or even hunting, such epic moments are found no were else.

Day 7: Full Day in Masai Mara Game Reserve

Optional Masai Mara Balloon Ride: for those going for the balloon safari, you will be going for the early morning balloon, you will be picked at the hotel by the Balloon Company at 5.30am and drive to the balloon launch site where you will gather for takeoff. Enjoy early morning ballooning over the plains, getting a bird’s eye view of the game below as the sun creeps slowly over the horizon. After approximately one hour aloft, the balloon lands while a breakfast is being prepared for us nearby. The smell of bacon, sausages and eggs drift on the breeze as we sample exotic Kenyan fruits and homemade pastries and, if you wish, glasses of bubbly to toast our flight, a tradition initiated by the Montgolfier brothers.
